Should there occur any other kind of opportunity of making

a profit, the manager and assistant manager shall have the power to raise money for manufacturing purposes.

7. At the end of each year out of the balance of profits there shall be set aside 2500 in Hongkong currency for rewarding the employees of the firm at Hongkong and Kwong Chow Tan and the men employed manufacturing "Cooked Sugar" (prepared opium).

Note- It was the Hongkong branch called the Yuk Shing Chong and owned by the Hongkong assistant manager Cheng Yuk Shing which was discovered at 112 Des Voeux Road,top floor. Books seized showed a large business in Prepared Opium of the Tin Shing and other brands, Cheng not too strictly regarding the article 5 above. A large busi- ness was conducted in Indian opium bought in Kwong Chow Wan, particu- lare of which are set out separately, this was sold to Swatow and Shanghai.
